    Jack has worked in the industry since graduating with a BA Hons in Economics. He has worked for a number of different companies as a Financial Planner across the southwest with a particular focus on retirement planning and investment advice.

    Jack is married and has two daughters. Away from work, Jack enjoys spending time on the beach with his family and trying to reduce his golf handicap. He also enjoys playing and watching football when he can.

    Director and Chartered Financial Planner

    Toby started his career in the North East at a family financial advice firm before moving to London where he worked with high net worth clients. In 2017, Toby settled in Bath with his wife, Sarah.

    He is a Chartered Financial Planner which is recognised as the gold standard in the industry. Additionally, he was awarded the Cii Cass Prize for exemplary results in his qualifications.

    In his spare time, Toby can be found walking his dog or very slowly climbing the hills of Somerset on his bicycle. After which, he enjoys a single malt and a good book.

    Ian joined Matheson Charles in September 2025 with 25 years of experience in financial planning and investment management. Ian returned to the UK in 2024 having spent time advising clients and managing a successful financial planning business in Australia.

    Ian is a Certified Financial Planner™ which is an international certification for financial planners and which recognises Ian’s ability to deliver expert, unbiased and personal financial planning advice to help individuals and families achieve their life goals.

    In his spare time, Ian enjoys spending time with his wife and son exploring the beautiful countryside in the southwest, staying fit and following as much sport as he can.
